Sam Keating

Field and Goalie Coach

Sam is not only the Storm Chasers Goalie Coach, but she is also an alum!  Sam began her field hockey career in 2013 playing both club and for Broadneck High School in Arnold, Maryland. After high school, she went on to attend York College of PA where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Criminalistics in May 2020.

Sam earned a starting spot with the Spartans at the end of her sophomore season and continued to start through senior year. Sam finished her college career ranked inside the top five in program history for goals-against-average (1.72) and in shutouts (7) with a career save percentage of .708%.  In October 2020, Sam was named to the all-decade team at York College!

Sam began coaching early on in 2014 when she began offering private lessons for young goalies. She quickly grew a passion for coaching and continued to explore coaching opportunities through various clinics and camps at both Broadneck and York. In addition to continuing private lessons, she has been the Storm Chasers Goalie Coach since 2018.
